"Pretty in pink" would be a vast understatement for this bedding collection by CoCaLo. This is the first crib bedding set that we have reviewed from this manufacturer, and as such, we didn't really know what to expect when it arrived.

Design & Appearance
This set features a butterfly theme, which continues on all of the 6 items in the set. The butterflies are simple pattern renditions of real butterflies, but they are all colored pink. In most scenes, the butterflies are flying above and around flowers and plants, with random color squares being sewn in to provide a bit of unpredictability.
On the whole, the design is pleasant. It's not too overwhelming, but then again it does keep the mind occupied (i.e. it's not a total bore).
Color Scheme
Aside from the main color being pink, there are also a number of calming secondary colors which have been implemented to complement the key tones. Cream is used in most of the backgrounds on the quilt and bumper, and most scenes and images are separated by a tan border.
The outside border is a darker shade of pink, almost shifting in to red territory. Plum would be the best word to describe this color.
Fabric Usage
The fabric used on all items in the CoCaLo Sugar Plum 6-Piece Crib Bedding Set is machine washable, and tumble drier-proof. Fabric is soft where it needs to be - i.e. on the quilt - and it is durable in other strategic places, such as the fitted sheet.

Being a 6 piece set, you will receive a quilt (measuring 35" by 42"), a bumper (11" high), a crib skirt (12" high), a fitted sheet which fits a standard crib, a diaper stacker which can hold 36 diapers, and a valance (12" by 53").

Overall, we were highly impressed with the CoCaLo Sugar Plum 6-Piece Crib Bedding Set on all fronts. The design is clever, with the surprise patches on the quilt making it an interesting piece. Colors are used thoughtfully, and each color goes well with the next. Additionally, appropriate fabrics have been sourced for each individual item, making the set comfortable and conservative.
